What is the SOUL BUS?
The SOUL BUS, originallyüSCHOOL BUS, Registered in Brunswick (New Jersey) in 2005, it reliably drove children to school as a school bus for 15 years. In 2020, it was taken out of service and put up for auction. I had been looking for one just like it ... and my Berlin dealer bought it at auction in June 2020. After all the exit papers had been issued, it travelled 1600 miles across the country to Texas to the port of Galveston and across the Atlantic to Bremerhaven and on to Berlin. Several conversions were carried out here in order to obtain German citizenship from TÜV. The conversion into a feel-good space was finally realised at VAMPER in Schönerlinde. At the beginning of July 2022, the transformation from SCHOOL BUS to SOUL BUS was complete. More detailed information in the blog.

Always giving 150 per cent: My role as a working mum of two brought me to the brink of burnout in 2009. I started to question everything: how do we live, how do we work and, above all, how do we treat ourselves? This was followed by a lot of self-awareness: mindfulness, yoga, Reiki, breathing techniques, Ayurveda, meditation ... until I found a way out of my office job in 2019 to realise what I had dreamed of most of all, even in my most stressful times:
A "hideaway" directly at my workplace, where my senses calm down, my soul feels safe and my body can relax deeply.
I learnt the methods* that convinced and fulfilled me, bought an American school bus, converted it into a SOUL BUS and thus made the dream of an exclusive, mobile retreat for everyone come true.
(*completed training courses: Massage therapist, sound massage therapist, SOMA Breath Instructor, relaxation therapist, alternative practitioner for psychotherapy, body psychotherapist).

At BUS2BUS 2024 in Berlin, the industry will be presenting its latest solutions: from alternative drive systems to autonomous buses. One of the panellists, Katja Schroedter, has converted an old school bus from the USA into a wellness and seminar room and is touring with it. She spoke to us about her SOUL BUS project.
Katja Schroedter has three lives. At least professionally. She has reinvented herself time and time again. Her current workplace is a "space to switch off". She can go wherever she likes in the old American school bus, which she has converted into a wellness massage bus.
